How ranking points work
Every point on the ranking comes from this formula. Nothing else is added by hand.
What counts
A result scores only when the tournament, the season, and the result are approved, and the result is verified.
Pending, removed, and unverified results score nothing. A player scores only through an approved public profile that is not a demo. A name typed on a roster does not rank by itself.
The same player is counted once on a result, even if the roster and a player link both name that profile. Teams are grouped by name across seasons.

Recency
The date is the season end. If there is no end date, we use the start. If neither exists, we use 1 July of the first year in the season. A future date still counts in full.
The last 12 months count in full. Months 13 through 24 count at half. Older seasons, and seasons with no date, count at a quarter.
The 12-month and 24-month windows hide the older lines. All recorded seasons keeps them at a quarter. The default table is the last 24 months.
Excluded results
An admin can leave a result off the ranking. The reason stays on the record and is not published. The result can still appear on its tournament page.
