Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the OnlyPolo website, a free bilingual polo directory operated by [PLACEHOLDER: legal entity name], [PLACEHOLDER: legal entity address]. Contact: hola@onlypolo.xyz. By using the site, submitting a listing, claiming a profile, or subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

If you use the site for an organization, you confirm that you can bind it. If you do not agree, do not submit content and do not create an account.

OnlyPolo is about polo: clubs, fields, teams, tournaments, players, horses, boarding, federations and associations, ranches and estancias, stores and brands, and polo news. We may refuse or remove anything that is outside that scope, including general classifieds, unrelated advertising, and material that uses the directory as a host for another business.

• Do not impersonate a player, club, federation, or other person, and do not forge verification evidence.
• Do not submit a listing or profile for someone else unless you are allowed to, and do not publish their contact details without a proper reason.
• Do not send malware, scrape the site in a way that degrades it, or probe it for unauthorized access.
• Do not harass, threaten, or post unlawful content. Do not use the relay or seller form to spam.
• Do not create a profile or listing that presents a fictional person as real. The in-product sample profile is marked as a sample and is not a submission channel.
• Do not upload a photo, crest, or text you do not have rights to use.

Browsing does not require an account. Admin and profile-owner tools do. You are responsible for the email and session you use. A claim asks for evidence (a federation listing, an official social link, or a matching-domain email). Granting a claim gives ownership of that record. It does not by itself add the Verified badge. Verification is an admin decision.

Owner edits are pending revisions. They become public only if an admin approves them. Slug changes are requests. We may reject a slug that is reserved, already used, or misleading.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit. A horse handicap, age, price, or location on a listing is the submitter’s statement, not a measurement by OnlyPolo. Player handicaps on a profile are shown only with a source federation, source URL, and date. If there is no source, the page says the fact is not yet verified. An automatic translation can be wrong. The language you wrote is the original.

Horse sales and boarding arrangements are only between the buyer and the seller, or between the guest and the host. OnlyPolo is not a party to the deal, is not a broker, agent, or escrow, and does not hold the horse or the money. We give no warranty of title, health, soundness, temperament, handicap, identity, or fitness for any purpose. Check the horse, the paperwork, and the other party yourself before you pay or ship.

A public horse or boarding page exists only after admin approval. Approval means the item may appear in the directory. It is not a promise that the listing is complete, safe, or still available. Places and events are published when an admin marks them published. Contact details on a listing can go stale. The relay and the seller form are a courtesy, not a guarantee that the other person will answer.

You keep ownership of the text and photos you submit. You grant [PLACEHOLDER: legal entity name] a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, machine-translate, display, and distribute that content on OnlyPolo, in transactional email about that content, and in the newsletter if we choose to mention a public page. The license lasts while the content is published and for a reasonable backup period after it is removed.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to grant this license, including rights in a crest, a photo of a person, and a horse you advertise. This license does not transfer your trademark to us.

The OnlyPolo name, the layout of the site, and our compilation of the directory are protected to the extent the law allows. Polo club names, crests, and horse names remain the property of their owners. A profile crest is shown as part of that profile, not as our logo.

If you believe a page infringes a copyright or trademark, email hola@onlypolo.xyz with the URL, a description of the work or mark, a statement that you are the owner or authorized to act, and the change you want. You can also use Request removal at the bottom of a profile. We may take the material down while we review the notice, and we may ask the person who posted it to respond.

We may approve, reject, edit for length or safety, unpublish, or delete a listing, place, event, profile, revision, claim, message, or headline. We may refuse a claim, remove a Verified badge, or close a slug. We do this to keep the directory limited to polo, to honor a removal request, to enforce these terms, or to comply with the law. Moderation is not an endorsement of what remains online, and we are not obliged to host any particular submission.

Headlines link to third-party publishers. Social links, source URLs, and video embeds leave OnlyPolo or load another service. We are not responsible for those sites, for their availability, or for a sale or opinion you find there.

The directory is free and is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, OnlyPolo and [PLACEHOLDER: legal entity name] disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose, including warranties about a horse, a handicap, a translation, a news headline, or a profile.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, lost deals, or the cost of a horse, transport, or boarding arranged through a listing. If a liability remains, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim. The service has no fee, so that amount is zero where this cap is allowed.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law forbids that exclusion. Consumer and data-protection rights in your country still apply. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers. In those places, the disclaimers apply only as far as they are allowed.

These terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER: governing law], and the courts of [PLACEHOLDER: courts] may hear a dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or data-protection rights that let you sue or complain in your own country.

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the Last updated date. If you keep using the site after that date, the new terms apply to new submissions. A change does not confirm a newsletter address that was still pending.
